K.G. Ranjit
brought his
expression to
life in the form
of paintings at
the venue of
gallery.
previously, a
realistic
painter choosing
mountains as his
exquisite
subject matter,
this time around
he not only
changed his
subject but
technique as
well. seamingly
persuaded by the
impressionists,
he displayed the
high and low
dramas of simple
people of Nepal.
Abstraction does
not lie only in
technique but
also on how one
developes the
concepts &
execute it on
the canvas.
After all the
energy that
comes out
through human
sentiment is
always abstract
& later when an
artist handle it
through verious
means & method,
gives it
figurative or
nonfigurative
form. Perhaps
this is why a
strong sense of
abstraction can
be felt in
realistic
paintings of
Edward Hooper.
The same
perspective
meterializes
when onea views
the paintings of
krishna Gopal
Ranjit. How
reality gets
fabricated by
the ever
changing human
desires but the
esence always
remains the same
something never
changes & the
artist seems to
be in a quest to
unfold the
mystery of
existence, 'The
living culture'
was a titel
through which
the artist
introduced his
art work. The
exhibition of
his collective
works is also to
be introduced in
the beautiful
ambience of
Pokhara from
January 4 2004
From Nature to
culture is the
title given to
this exhibition.
The artist
speaking about
this show- I
hail from
Pokhara but it's
realy sad to say
that I have
never exhibied
my work there
finally this
exhibition has
vapourised all
those sadness!'
The exhibition
is organised by
Pokhareli Yuwa
Sanskritic
Pariwar.
