What is Harmony 2006 ?

In relation to celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Nepal-Japan Friendship, Tokoname Nepal Society, Aichi Prefecture, Japan has proposed ARAMBHA, Contemporary Nepali Sculptors’ Group to organize a sculpture symposium in Nepal under the theme 'HARMONY'.

'HARMONY' - Sculpture Symposium: 2006 is a mega event that will take place in an open environment. The event will bring together sculptors from Nepal and Japan, who will demonstrate the process of creating sculptures in stone in front of the public.

Devendra reflected his love for nature through water colour paintings in the Nepal art council gallery. An energetic young man, he sees his painting as journal of ups & downs in life.

He travels far distant places & collects sceneries on paper. This exhibition he says, is largly dedicated to the serene land of Tarai. The paintings can also be looked upon as a reaction to violent situation that is building up in Nepal. The artist recollects moments when he had to go through grueling trouble during his travel.
